Gelato Lamp

Originally designed in the 1960s by Murano-based Carlo Nason, Gelato has been re-engineered into a playful portable lamp. Its colourful mouth-blown base holds an orb of acid-etched opaline glass. The sphere is lit by a replaceable custom-made LED bulb operated by a three-step dimming switch and is powered by a magnetically charged battery. Suitable for indoor use only. Gelato, eponymously named for its resemblance to the quintessential Italian symbol, features a colourful glass vase, or cup, that nestles an orb of frosted glass. The freestanding orb hosts a custom-made, replaceable LED bulb with an integrated battery, and is activated with a haptic three-step dimmer. The portable lamp is charged directly on the orb, using a USB-C magnetic charging cable now universal to Established & Sons’ collection of portable luminaires. Gelato, playful and uniquely giftable, is offered in four distinct finishes aptly named to highlight its Italian heritage: Spritz (orange), Mint (green), Azure (blue), and Smoke (grey). This varied color offering makes Gelato exceptionally suitable for interiors from a beautiful minimalist home to a buzzling colorful café.
