G4J Insulating Gel Soft Gel That Conforms Around the Connection Gel Box Line is pre-filled with clear G4J cross-linked polymeric gel. At 0 Shore 00, the gel remains extremely soft and conforms closely around the connector and conductors instead of curing into a rigid encapsulant. G4J provides dielectric strength greater than 20 kV/mm and water absorption below 0.05% after 30 days of immersion. The gel is halogen-free and is a UL Recognized Component. Environmental Protection For Wet, Submerged and Underground Connections Gel Box Line combines an IPX8-tested enclosure with soft insulating gel surrounding the connection. It is suitable for submerged, underground and other water-exposed electrical installations. Salt water and chlorine environments have no adverse effect on the cross-linked G4J gel under the specified exposure conditions.
