Gator Face Cap Tool

In the locksmithing industry, innovation is rare, but a groundbreaking tool emerged in the summer of 1998, revolutionizing the way automotive facecaps are handled. Designed from years of experience and frustration, this tool addresses the common challenge of removing automotive facecaps for internal lock repairs while ensuring minimal damage for reuse. Unlike traditional methods involving screwdrivers and pliers, this tool allows locksmiths to effortlessly remove and reinstall facecaps, saving both time and money. The first function of this remarkable tool is to remove the original facecap in pristine condition, thanks to its specially designed hardened tip and saddle. This means no more waiting for replacement parts or dealing with excess inventory, as the same facecap can be reused after repairs. The tool's adjustable design accommodates a wide range of facecap sizes, from small and thin to larger, older models, ensuring a professional finish with minimal adjustments needed during reinstallation. Additionally, this tool simplifies the often cumbersome process of staking spring covers on GM lock cylinders. Traditionally, this requires juggling a lock, punch, and hammer, but this innovative design streamlines the process, allowing for easy placement and staking of the cap with just a few adjustments. Crafted with durability in mind, this tool features a robust finish that withstands the rigors of any locksmithing environment. The built-in torsion spring enhances usability, making it a breeze to operate. The tip is made from specialty hardened material for longevity, and should it ever break, replacement is hassle-free. With easy-to-follow instructions and helpful graphics, this tool is perfect for both seasoned professionals and newcomers alike.
