Garrison Boot Black Bison

This Garrison Boot features our new Dr. Sole outsole, which was developed for our last. This bottom is incredibly hard-wearing and offers the classic Dr. Sole half-sole silhouette.  The Garrison boot is our rendition of the classic service boot. Developing out of WWI's trench warfare, the service boot's history has been one of defense. Named after the military fortification and the guards charged with its protection, the Garrison boot conjures up imagery of security, safety, and refuge. Moreover, the name itself ultimately derives from the Germanic word meaning 'to ward off.' The Garrison boot is just that – stable, unyielding protection for your feet.  Featuring a perforated cap toe and backstay that hugs the heel counter, the Garrison boot is our first all-eyelet boot. Further drawing on its military history, we paired the Garrison boot with a lug outsole to offer more robust traction. Combining these elements produces a stylish yet utilitarian boot. American Bison hides are known for their heavier weight and natural distinctive grain patterns. The prominent pebble effect varies throughout the leather, making each cut unique. This article is tanned with a healthy amount of waxes and oils to create a rich color and pull-up effect. The distinct look and gutsy body of Bison hide make it an excellent choice for Goodyear-welt boots.  Note: This is not a printed grain. The grain pattern on each pair is individual and will vary.
