Garmin Alpha XL 10″ GPS Dog Tracking and Training Navigator

Think of the Alpha 300 fused with a 10-inch touchscreen navigator and mounted to your dash. That is the Garmin Alpha XL: one device that does everything, built specifically for hunters who spend serious time in the truck between stands, roads, and runs. The Alpha XL delivers the complete Alpha tracking and training feature set on a 10-inch color touchscreen. Track up to 20 dogs simultaneously, send stimulation commands, view detailed topo maps and BirdsEye Satellite Imagery, and manage dog groups, all on a screen large enough to read clearly while driving or sitting in a dark cab at 4am. On-road and off-road navigation is fully integrated. Preloaded TopoActive maps, turn-by-turn street directions, Active Lane Guidance, and live traffic via the Garmin Drive app mean the Alpha XL handles the drive to the hunt the same way it handles the hunt itself. The Alpha XL connects to your existing TT25, T20, TT15X, T5X, and most current Garmin tracking and training collars. It also tracks other compatible Alpha handhelds, so hunters in your party can broadcast their location to the XL for full group visibility. Alpha XL vs. DriveTrack 72 + Alpha 300: The DriveTrack 72 is a companion screen that needs an Alpha handheld to communicate with collars. The Alpha XL is a standalone device that replaces the handheld entirely. If you want one device in the truck that does everything without a separate handheld, this is the answer. If you already own an Alpha 300 and want a bigger in-cab screen, the DriveTrack 72 is the more cost-effective path. Pairs with fēnix 8 and Instinct 3 watches for wrist-based dog tracking. Our take: The Alpha XL is the best in-vehicle hunting dog setup Garmin has ever built. For houndsmen running big country at night, hunters covering multiple properties in a day, or anyone who lives in their truck between hunts, this is the command center. The 10-inch screen changes how you manage your pack. Once you use it, going back to a 3-inch handheld on the seat feels like reading a map on a matchbook.
