GARLIC LIQUID EXTRACT- ORGANIC sample

BOTANICAL SAFETY INFORMATION   Do not use herbal products to replace necessary care by a qualified physician. Contains: Garlic, Allium sativum, organic,  ORGANIC CANE ALCOHOL, VEGETABLE GLYCERIN Possibly contra-indicated in pregnancy.  Garlic consumption while lactating may be associated with colic in some breast-fed infants. Avoid use with organ transplants. Avoid with anticoagulant and antiplatelet medication. Avoid use seven days before surgery. Concomitant use with certain diabetes medications may cause blood sugar levels to drop considerably. Large doses can decrease the thyroid’s uptake of iodine.  If an HIV patient, avoid use with protease inhibitors.  Avoid with stomach inflammation or acid-reflux.  Large doses may cause gastrointestinal disturbance.  Some authorities feel that consumption of garlic in children might be dangerous. External applications of raw garlic may irritate or burn skin. The concerns for this herb are based on relatively higher doses used for therapeutic purposes in contrast to lower amounts generally used in cooking, and have not been associated with its use as a spice.
