Gallatin River - Summer Fly Box

Fish the Gallatin River like you know it — because now you do.   The Gallatin River Summer Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Gallatin from June through August. The Gallatin is at its most famous in summer. Clear water, visible fish, and a full slate of hatches make this the peak season for dry fly fishing in the canyon.   This box is built around the Gallatin's summer hatch calendar — caddis, PMDs, yellow sallies, and golden stoneflies. Every fly was chosen with dry fly fishing and hopper-dropper rigs in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering caddis dries, PMD patterns, elk hair caddis, grasshoppers, and attractor nymphs. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: Hopper season kicks off in late July. Fish the grassy banks tight — that's where the big fish are waiting.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Gallatin or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
