Gallatin River - Fall Fly Box

Fish the Gallatin River like you know it — because now you do.   The Gallatin River Fall Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Gallatin from September through November. Crowds thin out, water temps drop, and brown trout begin their pre-spawn aggression. Fall on the Gallatin is underrated and exceptional.   This box is built around the Gallatin's fall hatch calendar — blue-winged olives, mahogany duns, and late caddis. Every fly was chosen with streamer fishing and dry fly fishing during BWO hatches in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering streamers, BWO patterns, mahogany dun dries, and large nymphs. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: Fish streamers through the deeper canyon pools in October — brown trout are aggressive and territorial heading into spawn.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Gallatin or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
