G8E Vent-Free NG Burner - On/Off Remote

Some fireplaces demand a complicated relationship — flues, chimneys, venting runs, the works. The Real Fyre G8E Vent-Free Natural Gas Burner prefers to keep things simple. Engineered for installation without a vent or chimney, this precision-crafted burner lets you enjoy a beautiful, glowing hearth in virtually any room of your home, including the bedroom (where local codes permit, of course). Available in three sizes — 16-inch, 20-inch, and 24-inch — the G8E is designed to fit a wide range of firebox openings, making it a versatile choice whether you're outfitting a cozy study or a grand living room. At 9,500 BTU, it delivers a steady, comfortable level of supplemental heat that takes the chill off without overwhelming your space. Control is effortlessly handled via the included on/off remote system (-12 designation), so you can ignite or extinguish your fire from across the room. No more crouching in front of the firebox — consider that a gift from Real Fyre to your knees. The standing pilot (millivolt) system means the burner operates independently of household electricity, keeping you warm even when the grid has other ideas. Safety is central to the G8E's design. The built-in Oxygen Depletion System (ODS) continuously monitors the air quality in the room and automatically shuts the unit off if oxygen levels drop below a safe threshold. This is the feature that earns the G8E its bedroom-rated status and its dual certifications: ANSI Z21.11.2 (Unvented Room Heater) and ANSI Z21.60 (Vented Decorative Appliance). Constructed from ceramic refractory material, the burner is built to handle the rigors of repeated heating cycles while maintaining consistent, realistic flame performance. At just 13.40 lbs, it's manageable during installation without sacrificing the build quality you expect from Real Fyre. This burner is engineered and listed exclusively for use with Real Fyre gas logs, valves, and accessories. Compatible log sets include the Valley Oak (VO8E-16, VO8E-20, VO8E-24) and Split Valley Oak series, designed to complement the G8E's flame presentation with stunning realism. Mixing components from other brands is not supported and will affect safety, performance, and warranty coverage — so keep it in the Real Fyre family. Whether you're converting an unused fireplace into a functional centerpiece or building a new installation from the ground up, the Real Fyre G8E Vent-Free Burner is the reliable, elegant foundation your hearth deserves. 9,500 BTU vent-free output — no chimney or flue required Available in 16", 20", and 24" sizes to suit a range of firebox configurations Convenient on/off remote control included (-12 designation) Standing pilot (millivolt) system operates independently of household electricity Built-in Oxygen Depletion System (ODS) for continuous air-quality safety monitoring Bedroom-rated design where permitted by local code Dual certified: ANSI Z21.11.2 (Unvented Room Heater) and ANSI Z21.60 (Vented Decorative Appliance) Compatible with Natural Gas or Propane (specify at time of purchase) Durable ceramic refractory construction for long-lasting performance Lightweight at 13.40 lbs for easier installation Listed exclusively for use with Real Fyre logs, valves, and accessories Compatible log sets include Valley Oak (VO8E-16/20/24) and Split Valley Oak series Btu Output 9,500 BTU Vent Type Vent-Free (Unvented) Burner Sizes 16-inch, 20-inch, 24-inch Control Type On/Off Remote (-12 designation) Gas Types Natural Gas or Propane Certification ANSI Z21.11.2 (Unvented Room Heater) and ANSI Z21.60 (Vented Decorative Appliance) Bedroom Rated Yes (where code permits) Pilot Type Standing Pilot (Millivolt system) Safety Feature Oxygen Depletion System (ODS) Material Ceramic refractory Item Weight Lbs 13.40
