G4 Reposado Tequila

G4 Reposado Tequila 100% Agave — Four Family Generations Distilling Tequila Since 1937 G4 Reposado is refinement in a bottle. Crafted at El Pandillo Distillery in Jesús María, Jalisco (NOM 1579) by fourth-generation distiller Felipe Camarena, this reposado is made from highland Blue Weber agave grown in the Los Altos region of Jalisco — agave that's stone-oven roasted for 22 hours and crushed using a traditional handmade tahona. Traditionally aged for at least six months in very old George Dickel Tennessee whiskey barrels, G4 Reposado is an expression of the landscape it comes from, with flavors shaped by the floral, herbal, and citrus plantings grown at Rancho El Pandillo. Crafted with pure rainwater and natural spring water, it delivers pure agave character in harmony with the land it's grown in. The result is a smooth, agave-forward reposado with notes of cooked agave, oak, vanilla, and semi-sweet chocolate, rounded out by caramel, butter, cinnamon, and citrus — though each lot carries its own subtle character. Tasting Notes Aroma: Cooked agave, oak, and black pepper, with light floral and citrus notes. Palate: Cooked agave, oak, vanilla, semi-sweet chocolate, caramel, butter, and cinnamon — agave-forward and complex, yet easy to drink. Finish: Light but long and smooth, with lingering notes of warm spice. How to Enjoy Best enjoyed neat or on a single large ice cube to let the agave character breathe. G4 Reposado shines in a classic Tequila Old Fashioned, where the bourbon-barrel aging echoes the cocktail's oak and vanilla notes, and holds its own beautifully in a well-crafted Paloma alongside fresh grapefruit. The brand is currently helmed by fourth-generation distiller Felipe Camarena. What makes G4 Reposado different from other reposados? G4 Reposado is aged in used George Dickel Tennessee whiskey barrels rather than the more common used bourbon barrels, which contributes to its distinct vanilla, caramel, and semi-sweet chocolate notes. The agave is also stone-oven roasted and crushed with a traditional tahona rather than mechanically processed. How long is this tequila aged? G4 Reposado is traditionally aged for a minimum of six months in used George Dickel Tennessee whiskey barrels, sometimes blended with newer barrels for added character. Where is G4 Tequila made? G4 is distilled at El Pandillo Distillery (NOM 1579) in Jesús María, Jalisco, Mexico — the same distillery behind other well-regarded tequila brands. What does it taste like? Expect cooked agave, oak, vanilla, semi-sweet chocolate, caramel, butter, cinnamon, and citrus, with a light, smooth, and long finish. Because each lot is unique, subtle variation between bottles is normal and expected. How should I drink G4 Reposado? Best enjoyed neat or with a single large ice cube to let the agave character open up. It also performs exceptionally well in a Tequila Old Fashioned or a classic Paloma. Is G4 Reposado 100% agave? Yes. G4 Reposado is made from 100% highland Blue Weber agave, with no additives or mixto blending.
