Future State: Dark Detective #3A (DC Comics 2021)

Future State: Dark Detective #3A delivers a pivotal clash between past and present vigilantes in a tightly paced, 48-page full-color single-issue from DC Comics. Creator Lineup and Printing Specs Mariko Tamaki and Matthew Rosenberg co-write the narrative, while Dan Mora handles both interior art and the dynamic issue cover alongside Carmine Di Giandomenico. The expanded page count allows precise rendering of Gotham architecture and extended chase sequences. Rated for readers ages 13 and older, this edition adheres to standard North American comic printing dimensions with consistent full-page coloring and clean panel borders. Bruce Wayne vs. the Current Batman The main storyline centers on the coordinated strike against the Magistrate’s state-sponsored monitoring network. Bruce Wayne confronts the sitting Batman to demand answers regarding jurisdiction, civilian oversight, and the extent of robotic enforcement deployed across districts. Their exchange quickly turns kinetic as they trade blows across helicopter hangars and smoke-choked rooftops, forcing both figures to reconcile divergent philosophies before the surveillance grid completes its lockdown. The pacing moves rapidly from dialogue-heavy interrogation to multi-location pursuit, keeping readers engaged through escalating physical and ideological friction. Grifters Arc Conclusion The accompanying feature closes its two-part run following Cole Cash and Luke Fox. Their supply runs through Gotham’s marginalized neighborhoods trigger an unavoidable confrontation with Huntress, pivoting the scene from covert navigation to direct street combat. Tight framing and close-range weapon choreography emphasize the brutal economics of the underworld subplot. This volume serves as a mandatory continuity anchor for buyers tracking the collapse of the authoritarian regime and analyzing how legacy heroics adapt under extreme civic oversight.
