Furst, 'Tradition' Spatburgunder 2023

Located in Germany's Franken region, Weingut Rudolf Fürst is globally renowned for crafting world-class Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) rooted in precision and historical heritage. Led by winemaker Sebastian Fürst, the estate utilizes organic farming and traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques to champion the region's unique, iron-rich colored sandstone soils. For their entry-level "Tradition" bottling, the estate strategically blends fruit from highly prized, younger vines in premier Grosses Gewächs and Erste Lage grand cru vineyards with grapes from very old vines planted at the foot of western Franken's river slopes. This masterful sourcing allows the winery to capture the structured minerality, vibrant red fruit, and elegant spice of their top-tier terroirs in an approachable, early-drinking style.
