Fungal Compost – 100% Organic Ramial Wood Chip Compost

Fungi-Driven Compost Designed to Build Living Soil and Healthier Plants Fungal Compost from The Soil Makers is a 100% organic ramial wood-chip compost specifically crafted to support a thriving soil ecosystem and healthier plant growth. Unlike many compost products, this formula contains no manures, relying instead on a natural fungal-driven process that builds soil structure and supports long-term soil vitality. Produced from ramial wood chips, this compost helps develop a fungal-dominant soil food web, encouraging beneficial fungi and microbes that break down organic matter and release nutrients gradually to plant roots. This natural cycling of nutrients promotes stronger plants and improved soil fertility over time. Fungal compost also improves the physical structure of soil, increasing aeration and moisture retention. These improvements allow roots to grow more freely while helping soils hold water more efficiently—especially valuable in containers, raised beds, and drier climates where consistent moisture can be challenging. By feeding the living soil rather than simply fertilizing plants, this compost supports resilient gardens with healthier root systems, reduced irrigation needs, and improved tolerance to drought and heat. Crafted by The Soil Makers, this compost reflects a science-based approach to sustainable soil building and organic gardening.
