Fuji Apple Tree – Snacking Apple

Fuji Apple Tree – Sweet, Crisp, and Built to Produce The Fuji Apple is America’s best-selling apple — and once you taste one fresh off your own tree, you’ll understand why. Exceptionally sweet, dense, and satisfyingly crisp, Fuji apples are the gold standard for fresh eating. They’re also one of the longest-storing apple varieties, staying firm and flavorful for months after harvest. Our Fuji Apple Trees arrive at 3–7 feet tall — established, healthy, and ready to fruit sooner than a bare-root or seedling. Choose a single tree or upgrade to a Pollination Pack with Gala, Granny Smith, or Honeycrisp® for maximum yields. Why You’ll Love the Fuji Apple Tree Exceptionally Sweet Flavor: Higher sugar content than most apple varieties — naturally sweet with a hint of honey Dense & Crisp Texture: Satisfying crunch that holds up in salads, cheese boards, and fresh snacking Outstanding Storage Life: Stays firm and flavorful for 5–6 months in cold storage — enjoy your harvest well into spring Heavy, Reliable Producer: Consistent, abundant harvests once established Versatile in the Kitchen: Great for fresh eating, juicing, baking, and dehydrating Four Seasons of Beauty: Fragrant spring blossoms, lush summer canopy, colorful fall harvest, and elegant winter silhouette Single Tree vs. Pollination Pack Fuji Apple Trees are partially self-fertile but produce significantly larger and more consistent harvests when cross-pollinated with another apple variety. Our Pollination Packs pair your Fuji with a Gala, Granny Smith, or Honeycrisp® — all excellent pollinators that also deliver their own delicious harvests. It’s the easiest way to maximize your yield and extend your apple season from late summer all the way through fall. Growing Zones & Care Guide USDA Hardiness Zones: Best suited for Zones 6–9. Fuji requires 400–800 chill hours (hours below 45°F) to break dormancy and set fruit reliably. It performs exceptionally well in mild, temperate climates. Zone 5 (With Protection): Possible in sheltered locations with winter mulching and a south-facing planting site. Choose a low-chill Fuji selection if available in your area. Zones 9–10 (Low-Chill Areas): Fuji can struggle in very warm winters with insufficient chill hours. Contact us if you’re unsure about your local chill hour accumulation. Sunlight: Full sun — 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily for best fruit set, size, and sweetness. Watering: Deep, infrequent watering once established. Keep soil consistently moist during the first growing season. Avoid waterlogged conditions. Soil: Well-draining, loamy soil with a slightly acidic pH (6.0–7.0). Avoid heavy clay or low-lying areas prone to standing water. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced fruit tree fertilizer in early spring before bud break. A light second feeding in early summer supports fruit sizing. Pruning: Prune in late winter while dormant to open the canopy, remove crossing branches, and encourage new fruiting spurs. Fuji benefits from thinning fruit clusters to improve size and quality. Harvest Window: Late September through October. Fuji is a late-season apple — the extra hang time on the tree is what develops its signature sweetness. Complete Your Apple Orchard Pair your Fuji with a Honeycrisp™ Apple Tree for the ultimate sweet-meets-tart apple duo.
