These will allow higher fuel pressure with the right ECM tuning. These FPCMs are refurbished to keep cost down A new FPCM is pretty expensive from GM. These units being refurbished may show some signs of wear, but all units are tested for proper operation and carry a 1 year replacement warranty. I typically carry these for the Eco model cars that have active shutters. When you install an intercooler system this will remove the active shutters from the grill.
