What’s Inside Black Tucano Premium Blend Roasted Coffee - 250g A harmoniously layered Arabica blend sourced from the highlands of Mantiqueira de Minas-Santa Rita do Sapucaí-and Serra do Paredão-São Sebastião da Bela Vista, Brazil. Produced by Carlos Henrique & Daniele Alkimin alongside Marcos Rennó & Andréia Moreira at 920–1,200 meters, this coffee combines Yellow Catuaí and Mundo Novo varieties, with both fermented and natural processing to deepen complexity. Expect an elegant cup with tasting notes of chocolate, red fruits, milk chocolate, caramel, apple pie, cocoa, raw sugar (rapadura), and nuts. The profile is versatile and comforting: a medium-to-full body, medium-low acidity, and an SCA score above 86 points. It’s ideal for filter methods and traditional coffee makers, shining in pour-over, batch brew, or a classic home brewer. The layered sweetness-cocoa and caramel-plays beautifully with a splash of milk, while the subtle red-fruit lift keeps the finish clean and satisfying. Black Tucano Fruity Roasted Coffee (Limited Edition) - 250g For fruit-forward enthusiasts, this limited release from Sítio Bom Destino in Afonso Cláudio, Espírito Santo, highlights the precision and care of producer Lima Bassoli. Grown at 850 meters, the Catuaí 81 variety undergoes a carefully monitored fermented process, yielding a cup that is lively yet refined. Tasting notes call out strawberry, raspberry, molasses, and honey-an expressive, nectar-like sweetness grounded by a silky structure. With a medium roast, SCA score above 89 points, and a focus on clarity, this single-origin coffee is ideal for filter methods and traditional coffee makers. It shines in V60, Kalita, or Chemex, where its delicate aromatics and berry-toned acidity can fully bloom. Availability is limited-perfect for those seeking a standout, fruit-laced cup that lingers with gentle sweetness. Responsible enjoyment: By celebrating traceability and regional character, you support producers and agricultural stewardship across Brazil’s renowned coffee-growing regions. Brewing Guidance for Peak Flavor These coffees are developed to be expressive and approachable across a range of manual and automatic brewers. For a reliable starting point, use a 1:15–1:17 ratio (coffee to water) with filtered water at 195–205°F (90–96°C). Adjust grind and temperature to taste. Premium Blend: Aim for 200–205°F water and a medium grind. This accentuates chocolate, cocoa, and caramel while maintaining the red-fruit lift. In drip or pour-over, allow a 30–40 second bloom, then pour in steady pulses for an even extraction and a plush, lingering finish. Fruity (Limited Edition): Try 195–200°F to preserve delicate aromatics and highlight the strawberry and raspberry notes. A slightly finer medium grind can bring out a silky texture and honeyed sweetness. Keep your pour gentle and consistent to showcase clarity. Traditional coffee makers will reward you with balance and sweetness using medium grind and fresh, cool water to start. If you choose to explore espresso, expect the Premium Blend to deliver a syrupy, chocolate-forward shot and the Fruity to lean into a bright berry sweetness-just dial finer and adjust your yield and time to taste. Flavor Experience The Premium Blend greets you with warm aromatics reminiscent of cocoa and apple pie, settling into a cup layered with milk chocolate, caramel, and a hint of rapadura. The structure is generous yet composed-comforting in the morning and deeply satisfying after dinner. The Fruity opens with lifted aromatics-think sun-ripened strawberry and raspberry-supported by molasses and honey for a round, nectar-like finish. Together, they form a tasting arc from cozy to radiant, each sip celebrating Brazil’s diversity in climate, soil, and craft.
