Front Skid Plate for the Traxxas Maxx

The RPM Front Skid Plate for the Traxxas Maxx is built to take abuse where the stock skid plate falls short! One of the biggest issues Maxx owners reported was exposed mounting screws. On the stock skid plate, hard impacts and grinding abrasion can damage the screws, which can also lead to damaged bulkheads. Damaged bulkheads turns a simple scrape into an expensive, time-consuming repair. RPM solved that problem by redesigning the skid rib layout to isolate and protect the mounting screws from direct contact. Instead of the screws taking the hit, our beefy skid ribs absorb the punishment while providing long-lasting wear surfaces for maximum durability. We didn’t stop there. The RPM Front Skid Plate also adds a third skid rib, compared to the stock two-rib design. That extra rib means even greater abrasion resistance, improved strength and longer life under extreme driving conditions. Whether you’re launching big air, bashing hard or grinding across rough terrain, this skid plate is ready for the punishment. Pair it with our Rear Skid Plate (#72222) for the ultimate Maxx underbody protection package! Like all RPM products, our skid plates are proudly made in the USA and backed by our limited lifetime warranty. Tougher design. Smarter protection. Built RPM strong. Tech Notes: The RPM Front Skid Plate for the Traxxas Maxx replaces stock Traxxas #8944 (front skid plate only).
