Hosta ‘Frog in my Throat’ is a fascinating new hosta, discovered at Walters Gardens as a white-centered sport of Hosta ‘Emperor’s New Clothes’, which itself is a white flecked sport of the giant Hosta ‘Empress Wu’. Estimated mature size is 18″ tall x 3′ wide. The first plant sold in 2024, went for over $400. Quantities of this new introduction are extremely limited. Mature Size: 20″ tall x 25″ wide. Uniquely variegated hosta with misted white leaves and a speckled green margin. This is a settled sport of ‘Emperor’s New Clothes’. Near white flowers in early summer. Color: Misted white leaves with speckled green margins.
