Celebrate 50 years of one of the most beloved friendships in children’s literature with this beautiful commemorative edition of the Caldecott Honor title Frog and Toad Are Friends. This handsome edition features matte paper, remastered artwork, and a green ribbon bookmark — a lovely gift for collectors, fans of children’s literature, and anyone who loves Frog and Toad. All original stories are included, from going swimming to finding lost buttons. This special volume also includes seven pages of rarely seen bonus material: archival photographs, sketches, pages from the original book dummy, the manuscript of the first story “Spring” in Arnold Lobel’s own handwriting, plus a biography of Lobel and the inspiration behind the Frog and Toad stories. The series has also been adapted into a Broadway musical and an Emmy-nominated animated series on Apple TV+.
