Fritz Copper Test Kit

Essential when using copper-based medicine Measures free and total copper in fresh and salt water Liquid kit contains 90 tests Many aquarium species, especially shrimp and other invertebrates, are very sensitive to even the slightest bit of copper in the water. If you suspect traces of copper in your tap water or you are using strong copper-based medications to treat your tank, make sure to use the Fritz Copper Test Kit. Accurate testing will allow you to correctly dose the medication at the right concentrations and, after treatment is over, ensure that copper levels are back to 0 ppm before adding back the invertebrates. Each liquid test kit contains up to 90 tests. 1. To remove childproof safety cap, push down while turning. 2. Fill a clean test tube with 5 ml of water to be tested (to the line on the tube). 3. Add 10 drops of Copper Reagent Solution, holding dropper bottle upside down in a completely vertical position to ensure uniformity of drops added to the water sample. 4. Cap the test tube and gently shake several times to mix solution. Always use the cap. Avoid skin contact as this may affect the test results. 5. Immediately read the results by matching the color of the solution against those on the Copper Test Color Chart. To decrease copper levels, perform partial water changes and/or use copper-adsorbing resins or filter media until the copper level consistently shows zero ppm with this kit.
