Adjust so it lays flat and doesn't twist. At the hip, hold the fabric firmly but gentle enough to avoid stretching or distorting Before inserting the pin, double-check that the pinning spot is away from the battery pack. Move the fabric around gently to ensure there is no hidden part of the battery pack in the pinning area. Carefully, push the sharp end of the safety pin through the fabric. If it resists, gently wiggle the pin to find an easier path through the weave. Once the pin is through one side, angle it to come back up through the fabric. Be cautious not to create large holes or tears. Take your time to find the best path through the fabric. Ensure the safety pin is securely fastened.
