Friendly Chemistry Kit

This item ships FREE to any U.S. address.   Friendly Chemistry is a truly unique approach to teaching introductory chemistry. Used by home schoolers and charter, public and private school students world-wide for over ten years, Friendly Chemistry presents what is often considered an intimidating subject as a genuinely fun, enjoyable experience. This is a complete one-year high school level course.         This course was written and taught by homeschooling *parents of ten children,  using simple language and a host of analogies to make learning (and teaching!) chemistry easy. The chemistry concepts presented in Friendly Chemistry are NOT watered-down. They are just explained in ways that are readily understood by most learners. Coupled with these explanations is a host of teaching aids (i.e., a Doo-Wop board), labs and games which makes the learning concrete and multi-sensory. Students find the course fun and painless. Parents often comment, "I wish I had had this when I was taking chemistry. Now it all makes so much sense!"  Concepts include:  Atomic Theory Trends of the Periodic Table of Elements Quantum Mechanics (Electron Arrangement) Ion Formation Compound Formation - Bonding Avogadro's Number and the Mole Calculation of Formula Weights and Percent Composition Empirical Formulas Writing and Classifying Chemical Reactions Balancing Chemical Equations Stoichiometry (predicting quantitative outcomes of reactions and predicting necessary amounts of reactants to produce a desired amount of product) Solutions and Molarity Gas Laws What about the labs?  All lab items are easily acquired!  Click here to see the complete list.  This kit includes all the materials needed to teach 1 student (with the exception of lab materials).   Student Textbook (includes the student workbook) Teacher Edition Volume 1 Teacher Edition Volume 2 Manipulative Booklet Annotated Solutions Manual If you have more than one student you will need to purchase an additional student textbook or student workbook (consumable part within the textbook).
