Note: This model requires professional installation and does not include a 3/8 x 3/4-inch line set. Key Features and Benefits of the Friedrich Breeze 4 Ton Central Ducted Heat Pump Split System with Surge Protector Precision Inverter: The variable-speed inverter rotary compressor delivers 48,000 BTU of cooling and heating capacity, using Soft-Start technology to ramp up quickly and hold your set temperature with minimal fluctuation. Energy Efficiency: Rated at 18.0 SEER2 and 10.0 EER2, this heat pump helps you lower your monthly energy costs compared to standard single-stage systems. R-454B Refrigerant: Uses the low-global warming potential R-454B refrigerant with a cooling range of 5 to 115 degrees F and a heating range of -4 to 75 degrees F for reliable year-round performance. High Airflow: Pushes up to 5,700 CFM through your ductwork to distribute conditioned air evenly and help reduce hot and cold spots throughout your home. Noise Control: Operates at a maximum indoor noise level of 57 dB, keeping your living spaces comfortable without intrusive sound from the air handler. Cold Climate Rated: Energy Star Cold Climate certified, confirming reliable heat output in temperatures as low as -4 degrees F. Installation Range: Accommodates line-set runs up to 130 feet and height differentials up to 100 feet, giving your contractor more options for placing the outdoor condenser. Surge Protection: The bundled TP-VRMDC-KIT surge protector shields the system's electronics against power spikes, helping you avoid unexpected repair costs from voltage irregularities. The kit includes the TP-VRM-60A, TP-SPD-50, and 60A disconnect breaker in a NEMA 3R enclosure. Certified Standards: Energy Star certified, AHRI certified, and cETLus listed, meeting recognized industry benchmarks for energy efficiency, performance, and safety. Preparing for Professional Installation This system runs on 208-230V power, so installers should verify the electrical panel can handle the load before beginning work. The outdoor condenser measures 43.25 x 34.5 x 17.75 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 186.7 pounds, compact enough to fit against most exterior walls. The indoor air handler comes in at 22.0 x 53.88 x 24.0 inches (W x H x D) and 180.6 pounds, so plan installation in a mechanical room or utility closet space accordingly.
