Free Range - Chicken Starter Kit

Are you ready to raise healthy, happy free-range backyard chickens? This chicken starter kit is designed to provide a safe, organized, and hygienic environment for your chicks and growing birds until you're ready to introduce them to your flock. It’s perfect for beginner chicken raising and anyone interested in raising baby chicks at home. Getting Started: Step 1: Brooding (First 6 weeks of life) For the first few weeks of life, chicks require warmth, safety, and easy access to food and water. The Chick Brooder - 1 Layer in this chick starter kit is designed to meet these essential needs. Featuring a thermostat-controlled heating system, this chick brooder kit maintains stable temperatures to ensure your chicks are warm and comfortable. This reliable chicken brooder kit comes equipped with integrated feeders and drinkers to ensure your birds have constant access to fresh food and water. Deep, removable manure trays simplify cleanup, helping you maintain a clean and odor-free environment for your flock. The power-washable PP Plastic (Polypropylene) design ensures bacteria buildup is minimized, improving overall hygiene. Step 2: Transition to the Grow-Out Pen (Weeks 6–12) Once your chicks reach six weeks of age, they can transition to the chicken grow-out pen (Grow Out Pen - 1 Layer Addition). This spacious, ventilated pen provides ample room for pullets and young chickens as they prepare for their move to an outdoor environment. The deep manure tray simplifies cleanup, reducing odor and maintaining cleanliness. The stackable design allows you to expand your setup as your flock grows, making this an ideal chicken raising starter kit for new poultry keepers and small-scale farms. Whether you're starting small or planning to scale, it's also a great poultry starter kit to grow with your needs. Step 3: Transition to the Coop Once your birds are mature enough to thrive outdoors and meet the flock, they can safely transition to a free-range environment. By starting your birds in a clean and controlled indoor setup, you reduce the risk of illness and ensure healthier growth during their early stages. The grow-out pen makes for a great integrator for introducing new birds to an existing flock. Disclaimer: Timelines are estimates and may vary based on breed, room temperature, and environmental conditions. Why Plastic? Our patented PP Plastic (Polypropylene) COMFORTPLAST® system is designed to enhance hygiene, durability, and long-term performance. Unlike traditional wooden or metal systems that can absorb bacteria or rust, our plastic system is power-washable and resistant to contamination. The smooth, non-porous surface minimizes bacteria buildup, improving overall hygiene and reducing odors. The rust-proof design ensures your equipment will maintain its performance year after year. Did we mention you’ll save money? The energy-efficient brooder system minimizes energy costs by regulating heat effectively, while our feeder design reduces feed waste — keeping your hard-earned money from ending up on the floor.
