FREAK ONE 44MM BLACK DLC TITANIUM & ROSE GOLD

The Freak ONE is a new watch inspired by the first Freak featuring its three signature characteristics: no dial, no hands and no crown. Movement is king as it rotates to tell the time. The Freak ONE epitomizes our commitment to innovation and excellence. The watch is powered by the caliber UN-240 Manufacture, an automatic movement with a 90-hour power reserve. The flying carrousel movement rotates around its own axis and features a silicon oversized oscillator and hairspring. The escapement is treated with DIAMonSIL for added precision and durability. The 44mm black DLC-coated titanium case has a satin finish and is complemented by a rose gold 5N bezel. The watch is fitted with a black rubber 'ballistic' textured strap, made of 30% recycled rubber from production waste by BIWI.    TECHNICAL DATA Case Material: Black DLC-coated Titanium with Satin Finish Bezel: Rose Gold Case Diameter: 44mm Case Thickness: 12 mm Strap: Black rubber ‘ballistic’ textured strap Glass Material: Sapphire   MOVEMENT Caliber: UN-240 Manufacture Mechanism: Self winding Power Reserve: 90 Hours Number of parts: 229 Oscilations: 21'600 V/h (3Hz) Escapement: DIAMonSIL   FUNCTIONS Hours, Minutes, Tourbillion. Hours - The hour wheel arbor is carried by the barrel-drum. The wheel rolls in the fixed rack and drives the center-pinion. An arrow applied on the barrel indicates the hour. The barrel contains the mainspring and makes one complete rotation in a 12 hour period. Minutes - The carrousel movement is assembled onto the center-pinion. Its first wheel rolls on the fixed rack and gathers the necessary power to maintain the oscillation of the balance. The baguette movement rotates once in 60 minutes, and so serves as the minute hand.   FEATURES NO CROWN - Best practice suggests that to adjust and wind a mechanical watch, you need a crown. The original Freak replaced the crown with a time setting system integrated into the bezel and was wound via a mechanism in the case back. NO HANDS - The unconventional Freak has neither a big hand nor a little hand. Instead, its one-hour orbital carrousel tourbillon becomes the minute hand and the hour hand is replaced by a pointer on a rotating disc. A challenging design, but easy to read. NO DIAL - Typically, mechanical watches hide their workings under a dial. But the Freak has no dial. Its movement doubles as its minute hand, while the hour hand is a pointer set on a rotating disc that sits under the movement.   REF: 2405-500-2A/3D
