The FRANTOIO Olive Cold-Hardy Low-Maintenance Fruiting Tree

The Flavor-Packed Frantoio Olive Tree The Frantoio Olive Tree is a standout variety known for producing high-quality olive oil and rich, dark fruit. With its mid-season ripening and bold, one-of-a-kind flavor, this Italian native brings old-world charm straight to your backyard. Grown in California and made for California, this Frantoio is built to thrive in dry conditions. It’s a productive, good-looking tree that works hard in the garden or on the patio—and it even plays nice solo, since it’s self-fertile (though you'll get more olives with a pollinator buddy nearby). Why You'll Love the Frantoio Olive Tree Top-tier olive oil: A go-to variety for rich, flavorful oil with a smooth, peppery finish. Self-compatible: Produces fruit on its own, no second tree required (but pair it for a bigger harvest). Mid-sized and manageable: Grows 25–30 ft. in-ground, or stays compact in a container with pruning. Grows in containers: Ideal for patios, small spaces, or decorative plantings. Whether you're harvesting for homemade oil or just love the look of an elegant olive tree, the Frantoio brings beauty, utility, and Mediterranean style in one hardworking package.
