Franklin the Bear was named after Franklin Mountain found in the northeast US (not to be confused with the Franklin Mountain in TX). Bears are known to be roaming along the mountain ridges from NY to GA! They’re usually black bears and I’ve personally encountered them out on the Appalachian Trail (TN), the Sheltowee Trail (KY/TN), Blue Ridge (GA) and Mount Mitchelle (NC). They’re always an interesting encounter and with the right knowledge can even lead to your safe return home (case in point, me!). Franklin here adores adventure, doesn’t want to scare any hiker, is a great snuggly companion for their adventurous friend! Franklin is approx. 18” tall. Each cuddly woodland creature is handmade and may differ slightly from the item pictured.
