Franciscan Monastic Habit with Traditional Capuche

Franciscan Monastic Habit with Traditional Capuche Carries Faith Some clothing is just fabric. This is different, that Carries Eight Centuries of Faith. The Franciscan Monastic Habit with Traditional Capuche is a full length dark grey monastic robe made for monks, brothers, and men of faith who want to dress authentically in the Franciscan tradition. Simple in appearance. Powerful in meaning. Built for a lifetime of devoted service. What You Will Love About This Habit The Capuche is the first thing people notice — and for good reason. This wide cape like piece drapes beautifully over the shoulders and chest giving the habit its instantly recognizable Franciscan identity. It connects you directly to a tradition that goes back eight hundred years to Saint Francis of Assisi himself. The Traditional Hood sits neatly at the back ready to be pulled forward during outdoor processions and prayer walks or left resting behind during indoor services. It is a small detail that makes a big difference to the overall authenticity of the habit. The Full Length Cut flows cleanly from collar to floor giving you complete freedom of movement while maintaining the modest and dignified appearance that monastic life has always required. Fabric and Craftsmanship You Can Trust A monk wears his habit from morning prayer to evening rest — which means the fabric must be truly dependable. This habit is made from high quality material that is soft against the skin, breathable through long hours of wear, and durable enough to hold its shape and color through years of regular use. Care is simple. The machine washes on a gentle cycle and it comes out clean, neat, and ready for another full day of service. Every habit is hand stitched by a skilled professional tailor. The capuche sits correctly. The hood hangs perfectly. The seams are strong. The finish is clean. This is craftsmanship that genuinely respects the sacred purpose of the garment being made. Wear a Living Tradition When Saint Francis chose simple clothing in the early 1200s he was telling the world what truly matters. This habit carries that same message forward today.
