Fral 70 Pint Crawlspace Dehumidifier

Moisture in your crawl space or basement can lead to mold, structural damage, and poor air quality throughout your home. The Fral 70 Pint Crawl Space Dehumidifier is designed for these hard-to-reach, cold environments where standard portable dehumidifiers fall short. With the ability to operate in temperatures as low as 33.8 degrees F and a ductable configuration, this dehumidifier keeps working through cold seasons and fits into spaces that are difficult to access regularly. Its continuous drain capability lets you install it and walk away, eliminating the need for manual water removal. Key Features and Benefits of the Fral 70 Pint Crawl Space Dehumidifier Moisture Removal: Removes up to 70 pints of moisture per day, giving you enough dehumidification power to protect spaces up to 2,000 square feet from mold and moisture damage. Low-Temperature Operation: Operates in temperatures as low as 33.8 degrees F, keeping your space dry even during the coldest months of the year. R-32 Refrigerant: Uses R-32 refrigerant, which requires a smaller charge volume than older refrigerants, reducing your environmental footprint. Continuous Drain: Connects to a 0.75-inch drain hose for continuous gravity drainage without an internal condensate pump, so you can route water directly to a floor drain or sump. Ductable Design: Connects to 12-inch ductwork for remote installation, allowing you to position the dehumidifier outside your crawl space while directing airflow where it's needed. Automatic Defrost: Features automatic defrost to prevent ice buildup on coils, keeping the dehumidifier running consistently in cold conditions. Built-In Humidistat: Includes an electronic humidistat that lets you set your target humidity level, so the dehumidifier cycles on and off automatically. Airflow Output: Moves up to 280 CFM of air as a standalone on high and up to 200 CFM in low or ducted, pulling moisture from every corner of your crawl space or basement. Washable Filter: Comes with 1 washable filter you can rinse and reuse, cutting down on long-term maintenance costs. CE Certified: Holds CE certification, confirming compliance with European health, safety, and environmental standards. Planning Your Drainage Without a Built-In Pump Since this dehumidifier does not include an internal condensate pump, planning your drainage route is an important step before installation. For gravity drain setups, position the dehumidifier so the 0.75-inch drain hose runs downhill to a sump pit, floor drain, or exterior exit point. If your crawl space lacks a gravity-friendly drain path, you can pair it with an external condensate pump to move water up and out a sink or window. The dehumidifier measures 16.5 x 19.0 x 23.5 inches (H x W x D) and weighs 92.6 pounds, so confirm that your crawl space has enough clearance and structural support before installation. It runs on 110 to 120 volts at up to 8.9 amps and 530 watts maximum, requiring a dedicated electrical circuit. Sylvane's Expert Take If you're a homeowner dealing with persistent moisture in your crawl space or basement, the Fral 70 Pint dehumidifier is built for your situation. Unlike general-purpose portable dehumidifiers that struggle in cold, confined spaces, this model operates down to 33.8 degrees F and connects to ductwork for true below-grade installation. The continuous drain capability means you never have to schedule drain checks or crawl back in to empty a tank. Once connected to a drain line, you can leave this dehumidifier running indefinitely without any hands-on maintenance.
