38 GRIP X2 Damper Upgrade Kit - 2025

Upgrade your Fox 38 to the all new Grip X2 damper The Grip X and Grip X2 are Fox's latest generation of fork dampers and are based on the highly successful Grip2. The Grip X2 is the most tunable, supportive, and smoothest descent-focused damper created by Fox. It is geared towards gravity riders looking for the highest performance or those that just want the most adjustability out of their damper and love to tinker with settings. Upgrading from a Grip2 damper? The Grip X2 is more sensitive and has a wider range of adjustment. This wider adjustment range is especially beneficial to very light or very heavy riders who find themselves on the end of the Grip2 adjustment range.   Grip X2 Damper To create the ultimate descent-focused damper, Fox sought the level of tunability seen in motocross and supercross racing suspension. Their award-winning Grip 2 damper had a 20 mm base valve diameter and seven valves. Grip X2 scaled up the tunability by increasing the base valve diameter to 24 mm with 23 valves. The result is the most tunable, supportive, and smoothest descent-focused fork damper ever created by FOX. Riders reap the benefits of sitting higher in the travel while tires stay glued to the ground. They can corner with increased traction, giving them the confidence to push the limits of downhill and enduro racing, all while reducing overall rider fatigue. 23 Count Valve Stack for unprecedented tunability and quicker response to bumps. Award-winning Grip 2 damper had a 20mm base valve diameter and 7 valves. Grip X2 scaled up the tunability by increasing the base valve diameter to 24mm with 23 valves. 24mm Base Valve lowers pressure to increase sensitivity and allows space for more damping circuitry. Pressure Balancing maintains low positive pressure, allowing 5-10ms damper response time to rider inputs. 4-Way Adjustability with high/low-speed compression and high/low-speed  rebound, now with less cross talk.   Compatibility:  Fox 38 fork models 2020 and newer Note: Requires Fox 4wt Suspension Oil when installing   Fox Part Description:  38 180 Grip-X2 HSR/LSR/HSC/LSC Damper Cart.
