Fowltec Waxed Cotton 5-Button Henley Knit Sweater The Element Outdoors Fowltec Waxed Cotton 5-Button Henley Knit Sweater perfectly fuses old-school hunting heritage with cutting-edge technical performance. Engineered for the hardcore waterfowler who respects the classic look but demands modern reliability, this high-end Henley delivers exceptional durability, warmth, and weather protection without compromising comfort. Heritage Styling Meets Hybrid Performance This sweater features an advanced hybrid construction mapped specifically for a hunter's movements: Waxed Cotton Upper: The entire chest, upper back, and full sleeves are constructed from rugged, premium waxed cotton. This durable barrier shields your core and arms from biting winds, heavy mist, and steady rain while pushing through brush. Insulated Knit Lower: The midsection and torso are crafted from a soft, high-performance knit sweater material. This offers superior thermal insulation to keep you warm while providing the stretch and flexibility you need to mount your gun and swing effortlessly. Built-In Comfort & Friction-Free Layering Say goodbye to binding and restricted movement. The interior is fully finished with a smooth nylon liner that glides effortlessly over baselayers. Your shirt sleeves won't twist, pull, or bunch up when reaching for calls or tracking birds. Designed with a bulk-free fit through the torso, it serves as the absolute perfect mid-layer for tucking neatly under your chest waders or Fowltec bibs. Key Features Hybrid Protection Design: Weather-resistant waxed cotton upper block protects against rain and wind, while the premium knit lower provides critical warmth and athletic stretch. 5-Button Placket Henley: A classic 5-button setup allows for fast temperature regulation and timeless style in the blind or at camp. Smooth Nylon Lining: Full interior liner prevents fabric friction, ensuring smooth layering and total freedom of movement. Wader-Ready Comfort: Tailored to layer comfortably under hunting bibs, outerwear, or high-waisted waders without adding unneeded bulk. Heavy-Duty Ribbed Trim: Thick, elastic-ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem lock in body heat and maintain the sweater's structure season after season. Available Colorways Dirt: A rich, solid heritage tan/brown layout that embodies classic waterfowling style while seamlessly blending into layout blinds, field setups, or everyday wear. Waxed Cotton Care & Re-Waxing Guide To maintain the weatherproofing and ensure your Henley lasts for generations, proper care of the waxed cotton upper is essential: Cleaning: Never machine wash, dry clean, or use harsh detergents on this sweater. To clean mud and field grime from the upper, simply let it dry and gently brush it away, or wipe down the waxed panels using a clean cloth with cold water. Drying: Always allow the garment to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators or open fires. Re-Waxing: Over seasons of heavy use in the marsh, the waxed cotton will naturally develop an authentic patina and may lose some water resistance. To restore its factory performance, apply a light, even layer of specialized garment wax to the upper fabric panels, warming it gently with a hair dryer so the cotton completely absorbs the wax.
