Foursquare Exceptional Cask Selection Mark XXIV Fine Barbados Rum

Proof: 124 proof About the product: Foursquare Exceptional Cask Selection Mark XXVIII "Convocation" is a masterful blend of two 14-year-old rums, one aged in ex-bourbon barrels and the other in ex-Madeira casks, creating a complex flavor profile that showcases the best of both worlds. Despite its high 62% ABV, this rum is surprisingly smooth and sippable, a testament to Richard Seale's blending expertise and the quality of Foursquare's distillation process. Tasting Notes:  Nose: Rich aromas of caramelized vanilla, toasted coconut, and ripe berries greet the senses. Notes of aged tobacco, bergamot, and subtle nuttiness emerge, complemented by hints of oxidized Madeira wine. Palate: Full-bodied and complex. Flavors of caramelized grapefruit peel, roasted macadamia nuts, and blackberry cobbler dominate. Underlying notes of pineapple and salted caramel add depth. The mouthfeel is rich and chewy, reminiscent of toffee. Finish: Long and elegant. Warm spices, dark chocolate, and dried fruits linger. The high proof (62% ABV) provides a pleasant warmth without overwhelming heat. Subtle oak tannins and a touch of Madeira wine influence create a sophisticated, lasting impression.
