Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition 2022 4RSMBLE

Experience the pinnacle of Four Roses' blending artistry with the 2022 Small Batch Barrel Strength. This limited edition, expertly crafted Kentucky Straight Bourbon offers an intense yet harmonious symphony of fruit, spice, and oak, delivered at full proof for an unforgettable tasting journey. Tasting Notes Nose: A captivating and complex bouquet immediately announces itself, characteristic of Four Roses' high-rye recipes. Bright red fruit notes of cherry and raspberry lead, intertwined with rich baking spices – cinnamon stick, clove, and a hint of nutmeg. Deeper vanilla bean and caramel emerge, underscored by a subtle herbaceousness and a touch of seasoned oak, hinting at its barrel strength. Palate: The entry is robust and full-bodied, a direct consequence of its barrel strength. The fruit flavors from the nose intensify, showcasing macerated dark cherries and dried cranberries, balanced by a generous spice cabinet that includes black pepper, anise, and a lingering warmth of ginger. A creamy, almost custardy vanilla and buttery toffee provide a luxurious mouthfeel, while a subtle leathery tobacco note and mature oak tannins add structure and complexity. There's a delightful interplay between sweet and spicy, with a faint floral whisper peeking through. Finish: The finish is long, warming, and profoundly satisfying. It begins with a delightful spice kick that slowly fades into lingering sweet oak, dark chocolate, and a final flourish of dried fruit. The residual warmth coats the palate, leaving behind notes of toasted nuts and a hint of charred sugar. It's a remarkably clean finish for a barrel-proof offering, inviting another sip.
