Four Roses Single Barrel Limited Edition 2011

Experience the legendary craftsmanship of Four Roses with this rare 2011 Single Barrel Limited Edition. A barrel-strength marvel from Warehouse QN, this expression delivers unparalleled depth and complexity, showcasing the pinnacle of Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey. Tasting Notes Nose: A captivating and complex nose immediately reveals notes of dried dark fruits like fig and apricot, woven with rich baking spices – cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of clove. Underlying these are sweet vanilla bean and caramel, with a beautiful oak presence that hints at its age, along with a subtle floral perfume and a touch of leather, characteristic of Four Roses' OESK recipe (assuming common Four Roses recipe for QN warehouse). Palate: The entry is full-bodied and viscous, coating the palate with a powerful yet elegant burst of flavor. Sweet caramel and toffee notes are prominent, balanced by a vibrant spice cabinet – black pepper, allspice, and a peppery rye kick. Dark cherry and plum intermingle with roasted nuts and a deep, charred oak, providing a lovely tannic structure. The higher proof is evident but well-integrated, delivering a pleasant warmth rather than an alcohol burn. Finish: A long, lingering finish that slowly fades, leaving behind a delicious interplay of sweet oak, vanilla, and a gentle spice. Hints of dark chocolate and espresso emerge, with a subtle herbal note and a pleasant, dry warmth that invites another sip. The complexity continues to unfold even after the glass is empty.
