Original Artwork This is a story about our crown, our hair.  This piece is a reflection of how our hair is described.  Each color section has a different meaning:  Blue sections are about the hair journey and the millions of lost bobby pins, red sections are words that have been used to describe our hair but are some of the most beautiful qualities about it, Teal sections are just some of the many ways to wear out hair, purple sections are empowering words, white sections are positive quotes and phrases, and the grey concrete like sections are questions or statements black women hear about their hair.  Handpainted Artwork on Birch wood.
