Founder 90C

Precision. Control. Dynamics. These are the core principles behind the Founder Series. Some things are simply not meant to go together—fire and ice, oil and water, Yankees and Mets fans. But what if form and function could? Every once in a while, something extraordinary emerges, changing the way we think. It’s the perfect marriage of technology, design, and performance. From the very start of development, we knew that when Art Embraces Science, anything is possible. And we far exceeded our wildest expectations. Founder is not just any loudspeaker. Every single component, no matter how small, was meticulously scrutinized. Each part was carefully researched, designed, and engineered exclusively for Founder. New patent-pending technologies were developed to redefine the acoustic platform. The unique cabinet design isn’t just visually striking—it’s also structurally engineered to deliver unmatched acoustic performance, far surpassing traditional square-box designs. By addressing every detail, Founder’s isn’t just a collection of components; it’s a breakthrough in sound. In our thorough research and design process, we focused on how speakers interact with their surroundings. Modern homes present unique design challenges, especially with the rise of materials like stone, glass, and wood, and the growing popularity of open-concept spaces. Founder’s design has evolved with these trends, ensuring maximum performance in any environment—from more traditional listening rooms to homes featured in Architectural Digest. Whether you're enjoying movies and music in a cozy den or a sleek, modern space, Founder will always sound as good as it looks. Precision When we speak of “precision,” we mean the ability to capture nuance, detail, and realism. The Founder series incorporates groundbreaking advances in design, materials, and engineering to deliver performance that sets new standards in the industry. Control Incorporating cutting-edge technology into a speaker is meaningless unless it translates to audible benefits. Our engineers ensured that every improvement could be heard, no matter where the speaker is placed in your home. Dynamics Sound quality isn’t just about clarity, accuracy, and fidelity; it's about dynamics—the range of sound from the quietest whisper to the loudest roar. The Founder Series is built to recreate live performances with unmatched dynamic range. AL-MAC™ High-Frequency Driver The Founder’s tweeter is a 1" (25mm) Aluminum Magnesium Ceramic (AL-MAC™) dome, equipped with a proprietary Oblate Spherical Waveguide (OSW™) and a Perforated Phase-Aligning (PPA™) Lens. Ultra-High-Excursion CARBON-X Unibody Bass Driver The Founder’s bass driver features a 6” (152mm), 7” (177mm), or 8” (215mm) Ultra-High-Excursion Unibody CARBON-X™ Cone, over-molded with Gen3 Active Ridge Technology (ART™), and coupled with a Vertical Mounting System, Advanced SHOCK-MOUNT™ Isolation, and a 1.5” high-temp multi-layered voice coil with ventilated Apical™ former. Advanced SHOCK-MOUNT™ Feet The Founder floorstanding speakers are equipped with Advanced SHOCK-MOUNT™ Feet that decouple the cabinet from the floor, providing effective vibration isolation. Interchangeable hardware is included for both carpet and hard surfaces, and the feet can be adjusted from above for easy leveling. Advanced SHOCK-MOUNT™ System Founder’s midrange and bass drivers are isolated from the front baffle using the Advanced SHOCK-MOUNT™ Isolation Mounting System. This elastomer suspension minimizes vibration transfer, ensuring pure sound with no distortion and maximum clarity. Cascade-Fusion Bracing Cascade-Fusion Bracing inside the Founder Series cabinets increases rigidity and breaks up standing low-frequency waves, resulting in tighter bass and greater clarity. The cabinet’s unique geometric design distributes stress evenly, creating a more durable structure than traditional square boxes.
