Fosforos de Abuela '25

Fósforos de Abuela is a nostalgic homage to the quiet power of memory and matriarchy. Inspired by the small matchboxes still kept in every Puerto Rican kitchen, this piece glows with the warmth of tradition, resilience, and the flickers of a grandmother’s everyday rituals. The weathered box, lovingly painted, becomes a symbol of protection, stories passed down, and the spark that lights generations. With delicate brushwork and cultural texture, this artwork honors the flamekeepers of our past—those who lit the stove, the candles, and the path.
