FORMA Stool in Blackout Oak and Shearling

The Forma Stool by Carlos Solano is a sculptural study in balance, craftsmanship, and materiality. Defined by its hand-sculpted solid walnut base and inviting off-white shearling seat, the Forma Stool transforms a simple everyday object into a functional work of art. Every curve is carefully carved to reveal the natural beauty of the wood, creating an architectural silhouette that feels both organic and refined. Inspired by the timeless language of mid-century modern design and contemporary organic forms, the Forma Stool brings warmth, texture, and quiet sophistication to any interior. Whether placed beside a vanity, styled as an accent stool in a living room, tucked beneath a console, or used as occasional seating, its compact footprint and sculptural presence make it equally beautiful from every angle. Designed to endure for generations, each stool is handcrafted by skilled artisans in Connecticut using sustainably sourced hardwoods and premium upholstery materials. Customization (Bespoke Experience) Every Forma Stool is made to order and thoughtfully tailored to your project. Designer Story – Carlos Solano Carlos Solano believes the most enduring furniture begins with honest materials and purposeful design. His work draws from the sculptural elegance of mid-century modern masters while embracing the precision and craftsmanship of contemporary furniture making. Each design seeks harmony between architecture and comfort, where every curve serves both a visual and functional purpose. The Studio Originals Collection reflects this philosophy through timeless furniture designed to be personalized. Rather than prescribing a single aesthetic, each piece provides a refined foundation that adapts to the individual client through bespoke materials, finishes, and dimensions. The Forma Stool embodies this vision—a sculptural object that invites touch, celebrates craftsmanship, and becomes increasingly meaningful with time. Handcrafted in Connecticut, the Forma Stool is available through Stamford Modern's Studio Originals collection, serving discerning residential and trade clients throughout Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and nationwide.
