Forma Stool — Floor Sample | Ready to Ship

The Forma Stool by Carlos Solano is a sculptural study in balance, craftsmanship, and materiality. Defined by its hand-sculpted solid wood base and architectural silhouette, the Forma Stool transforms a simple everyday object into a functional work of art. Every curve is carefully shaped to highlight the natural character of the wood, creating a piece that feels both organic and refined. Inspired by the timeless language of mid-century modern design and contemporary organic forms, the Forma Stool brings warmth and quiet sophistication to an interior. Its compact proportions make it equally suited beside a vanity, beneath a console, as an accent in a living room, or as occasional seating. This floor sample is handcrafted in solid walnut with our Special Walnut finish, emphasizing the richness, warmth, and natural grain of the wood. Designer Floor Sample — Available Now This floor sample is part of our Designer Ready Collection, a curated selection created specifically for interior designers and clients working within shorter project timelines who cannot accommodate our standard made-to-order lead times. Unlike our bespoke Forma Stools, which are made to order, this piece is available directly from our sales floor and ready to ship, allowing designers to incorporate a Stamford Modern Studio Original into a project without waiting for production. Forma Stool | Special Walnut | Sold as Shown | Ready to Ship Bespoke Experience The Forma Stool is also available through our made-to-order bespoke program. Designer Story — Carlos Solano Carlos Solano’s approach to design is rooted in the balance that defines mid-century modernism—simple forms elevated by rich, honest materials. His work draws from the sculptural elegance of mid-century design while embracing the precision and craftsmanship of contemporary furniture making. Each design seeks harmony between architecture and comfort, where every curve serves both a visual and functional purpose. The Studio Originals Collection embodies this philosophy through timeless furniture designed to be personalized. Rather than prescribing a single aesthetic, each piece provides a refined foundation that adapts to the individual client through bespoke materials, finishes, and dimensions. Handcrafted in Connecticut. Serving clients in CT, NY, NJ, and nationwide.
