Forged Black Zatoichi Stick Sword

Add understated style and serious cutting performance to your collection with the Forged Black Zatoichi Stick Sword. Inspired by traditional Japanese stick swords, this fully functional weapon conceals its formidable construction beneath a sleek exterior. Its straight profile and matching matte black hilt and scabbard give the sword an unassuming appearance that places the focus on clean lines and functionality. Forged from T10 high-carbon tool steel, the straight, single-edged blade is differentially hardened to combine a hard cutting edge with a more resilient spine. The edge has a hardness of 60 HRC, while the back remains softer at 40 HRC. This traditional approach to heat treatment produces a genuine, visible hamon, also called a temper line, along the blade while providing the performance expected from a functional Japanese sword. The blade comes sharpened and ready for cutting. A brass habaki, or blade collar, sits at the base of the blade and provides a traditional transition between the blade and hilt. The straight wooden handle continues the sword’s minimalist look with a matte black finish that matches the included scabbard. A pair of subtle grooves accent the hilt. When sheathed, the sword takes on the simple look associated with a traditional stick sword. The matching wooden scabbard features a smooth matte black finish for a sleek and discreet look. The Forged Black Zatoichi Stick Sword has an understated aesthetic that contrasts with the performance of the blade concealed within. The sword can also be disassembled for cleaning and maintenance. Its construction allows the hilt to be removed. Whether added to a Japanese sword collection or chosen as a functional cutting sword with minimalist style, the Forged Black Zatoichi Stick Sword brings traditional inspiration with a powerful blade.
