Forest Walk Mala

A mala is a set of beads commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. They are sacred and beautiful and can be worn as a necklace or wrapped around your wrist multiple times. Malas are made with 108 beads and a  guru bead. They can be made with fewer beads, such as 18, 27, or 54, which would require the user to make several rotations to complete their full meditation. The number 108 has spiritual significance as it is believed that we have 108 lines of energy in our bodies which converge to form the anahata , or the heart chakra. This mala is made with Matte Agate, and a Red Creek Jasper guru stone. The tassel is deep green. The mala is strung on nylon thread and is hand knotted between each stone. Agate is a stone of strength. It balances the yin and yang, female and male energies within all of us. It provides protection, healing, and calm. Agates can remove blockages from chakras. Jasper is known as the “supreme nurturer”. It sustains and supports during times of stress, bringing a sense of tranquility and wholeness. Used in healing, it unifies all aspects of your life. Jasper helps to calm the mind and ease anxiety. Works in the emotional, spiritual, and physical plane to provide balance, patience, and peace.
