Forest In Winter Diptych II

Forest in Winter Diptych II by Zivile Rudzikaite-Matuzoniene unfolds as a tranquil echo of its counterpart - a continuation of the forest’s whispered story through texture and tone. The composition retains its meditative duality: the earthy depths below and the slender rise of trees above. Each vertical form carries an imprint of age and endurance, suggesting both the fragility of bark and the resilience of roots woven through soil and silence. The artist paints with the restraint of reflection - her muted palette of ochres, browns, and pale greens capturing the muted glow of a winter afternoon. The harmony between structure and softness creates a sense of breath within stillness, an unspoken rhythm that lingers long after the gaze has settled. Forest in Winter Diptych II completes the dialogue begun in Forest in Winter Diptych I. Together, these two works form a serene diptych - a visual meditation on the quiet architecture of winter and the enduring pulse of nature beneath its calm veneer.
