(Forerunners) Elijah

Elijah was a prophet who boldly called Israel back to faith in God during a time of widespread idolatry. In moments of isolation, Elijah experienced God’s presence in both dramatic and quiet ways—miraculously fed by ravens in the wilderness and sustained by a gentle whisper on Mount Horeb. From his triumph over the prophets of Baal to his ascent into heaven in a chariot of fire, Elijah’s life bore witness to the strength and nearness of God. About FORERUNNERS Tiny Saints Forerunners honor the figures of the Old Testament who played pivotal roles in the story of salvation history and looked forward to the fulfillment of God’s promises  for unity with the human family.
