For Victory - Help Him Help Yourself

As a function of the domestic war effort during World War II the U.S. Government issued many posters encouraging the population to buy war bonds to financially support the war effort abroad. This very direct image shows the mechanic and suggests that he could help the war effort, and help himself by earning interest on his bonds. As a benefit, the soldier fighting overseas would be better off. A simple message delivered by effective use of photos and typography by an anonymous artist. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
