Focal Sub 1000 F

SUB 1000F Amplified and compact subwoofer The Sub 1000 F subwoofer has been designed for Home Cinema use in the purest Focal tradition. A technological masterpiece, it has a 1113/16" (30cm) diameter Flax membrane bass speaker cone. The stiffness and lightness of this environmentally-friendly textile mean it produces an extremely well defined, distortion-free sound.                   FOCAL KNOW-HOW The 30 cm driver features a Flax sandwich cone, an exclusive Focal innovation. This flax cone offers greater timbre neutrality and sound definition, for an uncompromising listening experience.             GIVE YOUR FILMS A NEW DIMENSION   POWER AND PURITY Sub 1000 F incorporates a powerful 1000-watt BASH® amplifier, allowing the woofer to express its full potential. Its closed construction offers extended response in the bass range, compactness and absence of extraneous noise, for a pure, harmonious sound.     TECHNOLOGIES FLAX MEMBRANE Purity and precision of sound As the key component of a loudspeaker, the membrane is at the heart of our acoustic engineers' research. After more than five years of research and development, in 2013 Focal unveiled an exclusive membrane made from flax. Patented, this Flax cone is a sandwich made of very high quality French flax fibre placed between two thin sheets of glass fibre. It satisfies all the criteria of a high-fidelity membrane: lightness to offer good dynamics, rigidity to hold the bass and damping to deliver a neutral, natural, uncolored sound. It is an emblematic Focal innovation in many hi-fi products.           SPECIFICATIONS Sound - Acoustics Product type Active closed subwoofer closed Loudspeakers 12" (30cm) Flax woofer Response at - 6dB (Low frequency point) 22 Hz Frequency response (+/- 3dB) 24 Hz - 200 Hz Sound - Electronics Inputs Stereo line inputs + Direct line LFE Power mode ON / Auto Design Depth 420 mm / 16.53 in Height 420 mm / 16.53 in Width 400 mm / 15.75 in Weight 21.5 kg / 47 lb
