Features: Reference closed-back headphones for home and on-the-go use Exclusive full-range speaker drivers with a pure Beryllium 'M' shape dome (patent pending) Uncompromising tonal balance, reproduction of the tiniest sound details at both very high and very low frequencies Ideal for use at home on a high-end amplifier, thanks to its symmetrical 4-pin XLR connector Incredible dynamics within a pair of closed-back headphones Excellent performance when connected to a portable audiophile player Very good ambient noise soundproofing Comfortable and ergonomic High-quality materials used Dragon Cable Recommendation: We recommend pairing the Focal Stellia Headphones with one of our Dragon Audio Premium Headphone Cables. Choose from the Silver Dragon, Black Dragon, or Blue Dragon headphone cables for a tailored sound quality. Our top-of-the-line headphone cable, the Silver Dragon Premium opens up the soundstage and energy of the Focal Stellia while boosting instrument separation and adding top-end resolution. The Black Dragon Premium provides the right balance to the sound with more musicality to the top end without sacrificing the Stellia's detail. The Blue Dragon Premium is a calm and neutral-sounding cable that will clean the sound without warming or brightening it. Comfort and Elegance in a Closed-Back Design The Focal Stellia Headphones are constructed with luxurious materials, including full-grain leather on the headband and earcups, and memory foam cushioned earpads for comfort during extended listening sessions. The headband and yoke mechanical features were originally developed for the Focal Utopia Headphones. The consistent curve between these two elements offers flawless comfort, regardless of the shape and size of the listener’s face and head. The earpads are carefully crafted to deliver the ideal acoustics: 50% of their height is designed to diffuse sound through a non-perforated full-grain leather; 50% absorbs the audio signal through an acoustic cloth that covers the memory foam. This solution also provides a linear frequency range, between 1kHz and 10 kHz. The closed-back design of the Stellia provides better isolation from external noise compared to Focal's open-back headphones, making them more suitable for use in various environments. Despite being closed-back, the Stellia is engineered to maintain a spacious soundstage, which is typically more challenging to achieve in even the best closed-back designs.  Each component of the Stellia's design has been developed with optimal acoustics in mind, without compromising on style. The cognac and mocha finishes showcase each element and serve as a testament to Focal's build quality and meticulous attention to detail. As a high-end headphone, the Stellia is presented in a faux-leather case, in the same cognac and mocha color scheme. The carrying case houses two high-quality cables with the same materials and finishes—a 4 ft. unbalanced 3.5mm cable with a TRS jack connector for connection to a digital audio player (DAP), and a 10 ft. 4-pin XLR cable for use with a headphone amplifier. The Stellia delivers a very low impedance of 35 ohms to ensure uncompromising audio use with DAPs, achieving an impressive sensitivity of 106dB SPL / 1mW @ 1kHz. Exceptional Speaker Drivers, Exceptional Sound The Focal Stellia Headphones feature cutting-edge technology that provides excellent soundproofing and exceptional sound quality everywhere you go. The Stellia integrates a new generation of exclusive speaker drivers, capable of working at low sound levels while offering an extremely extensive frequency response (5Hz-40kHz). The full-range speaker driver is a concentration of innovations never seen in a closed-back headphone. Its frameless 100% copper voice coil, combined with the properties of Beryllium provide a moving part that is unparalleled in its lightness. Taking center stage is the M-shaped pure Beryllium dome that offers three major benefits to the Stellia's sound quality. Its very low mass enables an extraordinary acceleration factor to be obtained, ensuring unfailing adherence to the original audio signal. Its rigidity ensures both impressive elongation and a high sound level while preventing distortion of the dome. Finally, the damping level provided by the Beryllium lends it a flawless neutrality, for voices and trebles of astonishing realism. The new 110-micron NBR surround offers low compliance and a geometry that is developed entirely in relation to its inner volume. The elongation of the moving part is thereby preserved and ensures exceptional dynamics for closed-back headphones. The Focal engineers used vents integrated into the Stellia's full-range speaker driver: One vent to control the balance between the bass and the midrange and a second vent, located on the back of the ear cup, to pick up rear wave coming from the center of the motor to avoid any compression and extend the frequency response of the beryllium driver. The dome driver’s response in the bass-reflex acoustic loudspeaker is thus extended to the lowest frequencies while providing remarkable linearity and bass articulation, all without any dynamic compression. An EVA foam pad positioned behind the speaker driver absorbs high frequencies and acoustic diffusers break up standing waves to obtain sound reproduction that is free of interference. The Stellia delivers extreme sound precision, in both bass articulation and treble details with astonishingly clear vocals. What's in the Box? Jack 1/8" Cable 1 x 10 ft. 4-pin XLR Cable 1 x Jack adapter 1/8" female - 1/4" male FAQ What is the difference between Focal Stellia and Celestee? The Focal Stellia and Celestee are both high-end closed-back headphones from Focal with the Celestee positioned as a more moderately priced headphone. In terms of technology, the Stellia utilizes pure Beryllium drivers, which are generally considered superior for sound reproduction, while the Celestee employs Aluminum/Magnesium alloy drivers. This difference in driver material contributes to the Stellia's reputation for better overall sound quality, offering more detail, clarity, and refined treble response. Both headphones have the same impedance of 35 ohms, but the Stellia is slightly more sensitive, making it marginally easier to drive. There's a minor difference in weight, with the Stellia being 5 grams heavier than the Celestee. What is the difference between Focal Stellia and Audeze LCD-3? The Focal Stellia and Audeze LCD-3 are both high-end headphones, but they differ significantly in design and sound characteristics. The Stellia is a closed-back headphone featuring beryllium drivers, while the LCD-3 is an open-back planar magnetic design. This difference affects their sound signatures and use cases. The Stellia offers better isolation and is more suitable for portable use or in noisier environments, while the LCD-3 provides a more open soundstage typical of open-back designs but requires a quieter listening space. The Stellia is known for its detailed, neutral sound with excellent imaging, while the LCD-3 is praised for its smooth, rich midrange and deep, powerful bass response. Both headphones are highly regarded in audiophile circles, but their different designs cater to different preferences and listening scenarios.
