Focal PS165FXE FLAX EVO 6.5” Bi-Amplified Component Speaker System

Highlights  6-1/2" bi-amped component speaker system includes two woofers, two tweeters, and two crossovers Flax woofer cone with "tuned mass damper" surround Aluminum/magnesium inverted dome tweeter Pre-wired crossover system with bi-amp connections 4-ohm impedance Handles up to 80 watts RMS (160 watts peak) Frequency response: 55-28,000 Hz Sensitivity: 90.5 dB at 2.83 volts Woofer top-mount depth: 3-1/16" Warranty: 1 year Features Woofer Size Classification: Some manufacturers, including Focal, call this size woofer a 6½". Because it requires a larger cutout than a standard 6½" speaker. Aluminum Basket: The woofers' cast aluminum baskets are rigid and non-magnetic. Phase Plug: The bullet-shaped phase plug in the center of the woofer ensures a smooth, flat off-axis frequency response by preventing the high frequency sound waves emanating from one side of the cone from interfering with sound waves from the other side of the cone. Surround: Each woofer uses a butyl rubber surround, resistant to ultraviolet rays, temperature extremes, and humidity to add to the speaker's reliability and longevity. Tweeters: The tweeters have inverted Aluminum/Magnesium domes, producing a broad sound stage. They can be surface or flush mounted using the included adapters. The angled surface mount housings can be positioned at 25° or 45°.   Specifications Speaker Size 6 1/2 Design 2-way Tweeter Design Inverted Dome Impedance (Ohms) 4 Tweeter Composition Aluminum/Magnesium Woofer Composition Flax Woofer Surround Butyl Rubber Sensitivity at 2.83 volts 90.5 Frequency Response 55 - 28k Hz Maximum RMS Wattage 80 Peak Power Handling (Watts) 160 Top-mount Depth (Inches) 3 1/16 Cutout Diameter or Length (inches) 5 5/8 Mounting Height (Inches) 0.427
