Iconic Flax Cone for Superior Audio Crafted from high-quality French flax fiber, the Flax membrane offers both aesthetic appeal and top-tier acoustic performance. With rich midrange reproduction and precise bass response, it delivers a dynamic, powerful, and crystal-clear sound. Premium Build & Installation Featuring an engraved aluminum chassis and meticulous craftsmanship, the PC 165 FE provides a premium, stylish installation that blends seamlessly with any modern vehicle interior. Advanced Technologies Flax Membrane – Precision & Purity As the core component of any speaker, the membrane is crucial to sound quality. After five years of research, Focal introduced its patented Flax Cone in 2013. This innovative membrane consists of a high-quality French flax fiber core sandwiched between two thin glass fiber sheets. Its lightweight structure enables dynamic response, its rigidity ensures controlled bass, and its damping properties deliver a neutral and uncolored sound—an iconic Focal innovation in high-fidelity audio. TAM Tweeter – Wide-Angle Sound Dispersion The shape and material of a tweeter significantly impact sound reproduction. Designed and manufactured in France, the TAM tweeter features an aluminum/magnesium inverted dome with an “M” profile, enhancing rigidity for impeccable harmonic balance and detailed treble. A built-in decompression chamber minimizes rear wave interference, ensuring pristine clarity. TMD Suspension – Stability & Vibration Control Beyond diaphragm innovation, Focal engineers developed the Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) suspension, introduced in 2015. By integrating precisely positioned toroidal weights, this technology stabilizes the surround, reducing unwanted vibrations and enhancing midrange clarity between 1 kHz and 2 kHz. The result is a purer, more accurate sound reproduction. The Focal PC 165 FE speakers are designed for audiophiles who demand high-fidelity sound, cutting-edge innovation, and premium craftsmanship—all in one sleek package.
