Focal Alpha Twin Evo

Alpha Twin Evo Active 2.5-channel studio monitor   Alpha Twin Evo features excellent dynamics, neutral tonal balance and wide dispersion, enabling it to maintain an identical sound signature over a wide sweetspot. Thanks to its diverse features, this monitoring loudspeaker is versatile, satisfying the need for high sound performance as well as precision across the entire frequency spectrum.                     FOCAL TECHNOLOGIES Behind a modern, compact design, the 25 mm aluminum tweeter and 16.5 cm Slatefiber woofers - Focal innovations made in France - deliver precise, distortion-free treble and perfectly balanced midrange.                 POLYVALENCE Disengageable auto-sleep mode, XLR, TRS and RCA inputs, bass and treble level settings: the wide range of functions on offer ensures versatility of use.           High performance and sonic precision in the studio     POSITIONING The monitor is positioned horizontally: you can choose which woofer will produce the midrange using the switch on the rear panel. We recommend keeping the midrange driver inside, on the right for the left loudspeaker, on the left for the right.             Technologies Slatefiber membrane Dynamic, balanced sound Exclusive to Focal and made in France, the Slatefiber membrane is made from recycled carbon fiber and thermoplastic polymer. In their quest for perfection and as specialists in loudspeaker membranes, our engineers have chosen to use non-woven carbon fibers in this case.es in the same direction to achieve even greater rigidity, damping and lightness, the "essentials" of a good loudspeaker. Renowned for its dynamic, rich and balanced sound reproduction, this membrane has proved its worth on numerous products for the home, for professionals in recording studios, and also for listening in the car.         Aluminum tweeter Treble finesse Manufactured by Focal, the inverted dome tweeter has been a signature since 1981. It offers the property of being a true micro-loudspeaker. The curvature of the dome is much less pronounced than that of positive domes. This results in better space dispersion and very low directionality, unlike ribbon tweeters. The inverted dome tweeter therefore generates unrivalled dynamics. In addition to dome shapes, our engineers also work on materials. In this case, they chose aluminum, which increases dome rigidity and reduces distortion. And to perfect the spatialization of sound, a waveguide has been developed. Horizontal frequency response is within +/- 0.5 dB. This performance guarantees an incredibly stable soundstage.             SPECIFICATIONS Sound - Acoustic Product type : 2.5-way monitor Loudspeakers : • Woofer : 2 x 6,5" Slatefiber membrane • Tweeter : 1" Aluminium inverted dome Frequency response (+/- 3dB) :38 Hz - 22 kHz Maximum SPL (peak@1m) :108 dB Sound - Electronic Inputs : • TRS: symmetrical 10 kOhms • XLR: symmetrical 10 kOhms • RCA: asymmetrical 10 kOhms with compensanted sensitivity High frequency amplifier : 30 W, class D Mid-range and low frequency amplifier : 2 x 50 W, class D Indicators and controls : • Sensitivity • Auto standby • Midrange driver selector (right/left) • LF Shelv, HF Shelv Design  Height : 26 cm / 10.24 in Width : 55 cm / 21.65 in Depth : 29 cm / 11.41 in Weight : 12.2 kg / 26.9 lb
