Focal 100 IWLCR5

100 IWLCR5 D'appolito 2-way wall-mounted speaker Thanks to its sound performance and compactness, this LCR (left, center, right) integrated speaker is the perfect complement for home theater use, but is also compatible with any room in the house. Its Appolito configuration, with the tweeter placed between two bass-midrange drivers, ensures high power handling and better directivity control. PRECISE ACOUSTICS 100 IWLCR5 features an adjustable inverted dome tweeter. Its 13 cm loudspeakers feature Polyglass diaphragms for excellent damping and well-defined midrange. Correctors are used to equalize high and mid frequencies, for an ever more appropriate acoustic response. POLYVALENCE The loudspeaker can be used horizontally for Home Cinema installations. A three-position switch allows you to define the left, center or right function, to guarantee identical tonal balance at the listening point.       A NEW MUSICALITY IN YOUR HOME DESIGN AND DISCRETION Thanks to its shallow depth and ready-to-paint magnetic grille, 100 IWLCR5 will fit in anywhere, easily and discreetly. TECHNOLOGIES INVERTED DOME TWEETER Optimum space dispersion The inverted dome tweeter has been a Focal signature since 1981, offering the property of being a true micro-speaker. The curvature of the dome is much less pronounced than that of positive domes. This results in better space dispersion and very low directionality, unlike ribbon tweeters. The inverted dome tweeter therefore generates unrivalled dynamics, enabling sound engineers to precisely control the dosage of compression. The precision of the image (height, width and depth) is remarkable, making it easy to position each instrument. What's more, a waveguide has been developed to perfect spatialization and further enhance the inverted dome's very low directionality. In the horizontal plane, the frequency response is within +/- 0.5 dB. This performance guarantees an incredibly stable soundstage.       POLYGLASS MEMBRANE Well-defined mids The diaphragm, the key component of a loudspeaker, is at the heart of our acoustic engineers' research. Polyglass technology, exclusive to Focal, consists of applying fine glass microbeads to a cellulose pulp cone. This process reconciles the excellent damping of paper with the rigidity of glass. The stiffness index is almost 10 times that of polypropylene. Adjusting the mass-rigidity-damping ratio results in a remarkably linear frequency response curve, right from the membrane design stage. This innovation also significantly increases definition in the midrange register.           SPECIFICATIONS  Sound - Acoustics Product type 2 -way Appolito wall Membrane Polyglass Medium 2x5" (13cm) Polyglass Midbass Response at - 6dB (Low frequency point) 43 Hz Frequency response (+/- 3dB) 55 Hz - 23 kHz Minimum impedance 3.8 Ω Nominal Impedance 8 Ω Recommened amplifier power 25 - 120 W Sensivity 90.5 dB Design Allowable ceiling thickness (min) 8 mm / 0.3125 in Allowable ceiling thickness (max) 35 mm / 1.37 in Depth behind surface (Mounting depth) 3.25 in / 3.25 in Depth 173 mm / 6.81 in Height 86 mm / 3.37 in Width 440 mm / 17.31 in Accessories Black and white felt Black and white felt ready to stick Cut Out template Yes Grids Ready-to-paint grille
